I’ve been having a problem with finishing posts. I have, seriously, about 14 unfinished posts in my Evernote, just waiting to be completed. And I seem to be unable to finish them, without them feeling like a flat ending that I’m not happy with. In an attempt to shake up the writing juices, I’m going to sit here and type What I’m Doing Now… what is going on right now in my home.
Right now, in my home, I have a toddler playing at my feet. It’s been raining for days, and the rain, coupled with the cold weather have us both suffering from a case of cabin fever. I’m so sick of the dark and dreary weather. I just want to wrap up in my bathrobe and order takeout for dinner.
Right now, I’m kicking myself because I just finished an Honest Tea (not too) Sweet Tea. I’ve been sipping it all day long, so I’m going to fall short of my gallon of water a day goal. And I totally just got up to get a glass of water, filled the toddler’s cup and sat back down… without my own water.
Right now I’m anticipating an upset 9 year old. He did not want to go to school this morning. He only went in because he had art and running club today. Due to the weather, running club has been canceled.
Right now, I’m supposed to be meal planning for next week. I’ve been making an effort to get my family eating healthier, and eating cleaner. I’m browsing the grocery sales fliers, and the only thing that looks delicious is the bad for us foods, everything deep fried and fatty goodness.
Right now, my toddler is flailing around on the floor and screeching like a banshee. He decided, apparently, that he doesn’t like the set up of his toys and has been moving things around. Consequently, everything is in the middle of the living room and he’s having a tantrum. I’ve offered to help him, but that made it worse. I redirected him with two jumbo pretzels. He happily clapped them together yelling, “Yay!” until one shattered all over the kitchen floor. Right now, he’s having another tantrum over the broken pretzel. Ugh. I need to rain to stop!!
Right now, I’m going to put on a Disney movie and crawl into the tee-pee with Ziggy, in hopes that it will occupy his mind enough to stop with the tantrums, and hope that they sun comes out tomorrow.
