My kids can enjoy frozen pops on the go that I make

Disclosure- I received a product sample for the purpose of this review. All opinions in this post are 100% my own.

My kids love popsicles, especially during the hot months, which is pretty much year round here in Florida! I love to give them popsicles, especially when they are playing outside, that way I know they are getting even more fluids than I already push on them, and they’re cooling their cores.

I normally buy those popsicles that are in a skinny plastic-y pouch that you snip the end off, that way if they’re playing with half the neighborhood, I can hand them out to everyone.

I do hate that I don’t know what on earth is in them, who knows what kind of dye and flavors are in them. I’ve often wished for a more natural alternative, yet something that’s also affordable in case I’m sharing also sharing with neighbor kids.

When I was offered to try Zipzicles, I, of course accepted. I was struck by what an amazing idea these are.

I enjoyed making a batch of popsicles in the Zipzicles for my kids. I stuck with simple, fresh ingredients that I knew my kids would love.
Zipzicles

1 large package of strawberries
1 cup of lemonade

I washed the strawberries thoroughly and cut them into halves and quarters. I tossed them in the blender with the lemonade and pureed until there were no large chunks.
I used a funnel to pour the strawberry lemonade mixture into the Zipzicles. I put them in a cup to keep them upright and stuck them in the freezer. My kids actually went away for the weekend when I made them, so they were in the freezer for a couple days before they got to try them out.

The kids loved them so much, though next time I would probably add more lemonade since I was the only one who could taste it, and I think that’s only because I knew what was in it.

For my second batch, I also decided to stay simple. I love drinking fruit infused water. I had some water with fresh pineapple and orange slices in it, so I poured some into the Zipzicles.

The second batch was unbelievably refreshing after playing outside in the hot Florida sunshine all afternoon.

I loved these. They are easy to fill, and my kids said that my Zipzicles are better than popsicles from the store!

  1. I would add raspberries to the blender with orange juice.

  2. pineapples and cherry kool aid.

  3. I think strawberry lemonade is the perfect combination! or maybe raspberry lemonade. Frozen lemonade is my favorite during the summer.

  4. Can I use them for myself and fill them with oj & tequila? Yep. That`s what I`d do.
