I am joining Joyful Abode in her challenge to #Give500. I’m in need of cleaning out my closets and cabinets and drawers, so I’m thinking it’s time to get rid of stuff. My home owners association only allows a couple garage sales a year, and it seems like every time the community has one, I don’t find out about it until a few days beforehand. I’m tired of holding onto stuff for “the next time”.
I’m giving things away. I’ll give things away to friends and family. I’m going to donate to some local charity groups and shops. Maybe I’ll even list some stuff on Craigslist.
I’ll be giving away 500 items. It seems like a lot, but I think I’m up to the challenge. It should be pretty easy. I would count an outfit as one item, and I have quite a few baby outfits to get rid of. Sure, there are some things that I’ll group together and count as one… I’m not even opening the box of baby toys. I’ll get all nostalgic and want to keep stuff, so I’ll get rid of that as one item, rather than counting each rattle individually. However, those three baby pianos will be counted separately.
My goal is to #Give500 by the end of the year. I’ll update my progress on here from time to time. I’m actually really looking forward to purging my house of items I don’t need, and giving them to someone who actually does need them.
